What this app does: Legal Billing & Time Tracker is a Claude Cowork plugin that connects to your Google account to manage law firm billing records by chat. It uses the Google Sheets API to read and write time entries, invoices, and trust account data to a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive, and the Google Drive API to create that spreadsheet on first use. Protomated stores only the OAuth tokens needed to write to your sheet — your billing data never passes through our servers.

How it works
Install the plugin
Download the .zip from Protomated and upload it in
Claude Cowork → Plugins → Add. Takes about 60 seconds.
Connect Google once
Say "connect Google" in Claude. You'll see a sign-in page, authorize Sheets and Drive access, and you're done. Your Google account credentials are handled directly by Google — Protomated never sees your password.
Set up your billing sheet
Claude will create a billing spreadsheet in your Google Drive from the Protomated template, or connect to one you already have. You own the file outright from creation.
Bill by chat
Log hours, run billing reviews, send invoices, record trust transactions — just by talking to Claude. No separate app to open, no tabs to switch.
Compliance-minded by design. Every trust account output carries a reminder to review against your state bar's trust-accounting rules. Every invoice output prompts you to review before sending. The plugin declines any request outside billing and time tracking — it never gives legal advice. ABA Model Rules and state bar compliance remain your responsibility.
Your data, your Drive
Your billing sheet lives in your Google Drive, owned by you from day one. Protomated stores only the OAuth token that lets us write to it on your behalf, keyed to your Google account. You can disconnect or permanently delete your Protomated account at any time by telling Claude — no email required.
